Problem: 

1. Sweating inside the electrical equipment cabinets in the control room (80ºF+) above the brewing house (52ºF).

2. Prevent shorts and corrosion on electrical boxes & equipment.

Equipment: Ceiling of 52ºF 480,000 CF brew house. The room above the brew house contains electrical equipment for the brew house cooling system. The cold from the brewing house cooling system was migrating up into the electrical room through the metal and concrete ceiling causing sweating on and in the electrical boxes.

Location: Anheuser-Busch, Columbus, OH

Goals:

1. Insulate ceiling between brew house and electrical room to stop cold transfer into the electrical room above the brewing room.

2. Meet FDA & USDA food area requirements.

Solution: Coat ceiling with CCS-100

With an application of 60 mils of CCS-100:

1. Ceiling is insulated to R=40e.

2. CCS-100 meets both FDA & USDA requirements for food area use.

3. No contaminants were released into food area.

4. CCS-100 bonds to the substrate and prevents hidden corrosion.
