Problem: Potential employee burn risk and energy loss from un-insulated stainless steel parts washer reservoir. Equipment: Parts Washers. Location: Ford Frame Plant, Rouge Complex, Dearborn, MI Goals:
Corrosion protection.
Meet OSHA guidelines for personnel burn protection.
Improve operating efficiency.
Save energy.
Solution: The square stainless steel reservoir was insulated with CCS-100.
With an application of CCS-100:
The reservoir exterior is protected from corrosion (both hidden and surface) by CCS-100, which resists both high and low pH chemicals.
The reservoir skin temperature is brought below the OSHA 140ºF burn prevention level to 85ºF.
The tank is insulated and warm-up time is reduced from 3 hours to 1 hour.
