Problem: Broken Moisture Barrier on Exterior Insulation - Treatment or cure?
Equipment: 2 Hot Oil Tanks
Location: Auto Parts Plant
Goal: Stop the cancer of insulation corrosion!
These two oil tanks have damaged insulation. Tank #1, insulated with aluminum jacketing and conventional hard insulation, has a puncture in the jacketing which allows moisture intrusion into the insulation creating hidden corrosion as well as energy loss due to wet insulation. One solution is to strip it, repair it, and reapply the same old system which could run into the same costly repair and corrosion problem (treatment).
Tank #2, insulated with CCS-100, has had some of the CCS-100 scraped off. The only moisture damage that can occur is where the CCS-100 has been scraped off the surface of the tank.
Moisture cannot intrude anywhere else (cure).
By choosing CCS-100, moisture can attach only on the spot where the CCS-100 has been removed, and it is repaired easily, quickly, and inexpensively.
