Midland Co-Generation Plant
REFLECTS 99% OF RADIANT HEAT NO MORE HIDDEN CORROSION | STOP EQUIPMENT SWEATING ASBESTOS ENCAPSULATION | NO VOC'S OR PEL'S | CLASS A MATERIAL
Problem: Sweating year round on un-insulated water pipes. Equipment: De-mineralized water pipes. Location: Midland Co-Generation Plant, Midland, MI. Owned by Dow Chemical & Consumers Energy. Construction specifications for the plant called for a sweat-less insulation to be applied to 870 LF of 12" 40ºF water pipe. 12 years after construction the only product that can meet this specification is CCS-100. Goals:
Eliminate sweating of pipe.
Eliminate potential corrosion on pipes. CCS-100 bonds to the substrate thereby eliminating any potential corrosion under CCS-100.
Solution: Coat pipe with CCS-100.
With an application of CCS-100 the entire pipe is insulated to eliminate sweating and any potential corrosion.
